The urban planning office of Hangzhou city China has announced the decision of the international competition for the Museum of Comic and Animation. The group of Dutch architects MVRDV has successful won the contract. It will be located in the city of Hangzhou and will occupy 30,000 square meters. Work is scheduled to start in 2012 and a projected budget of 92 million euros. With a population of 6.4 million, Hangzhou is the capital of the animation industry in China.
