The dental clinic Ayen is inserted into the central plot of the Talca city, a sector with an obvious state of decline and with extremely poor quality of construction, delivering a fragmented and discontinuous environment, whose regulation is in flux at the moment to the project.
Thus, as the work of dentists, who “repair” the damaged parts, this project is conceived as an element that tries to repair damaged one of these situations, one of the corners are not built from the center of the city that will certainly the new guidelines of the current regulation.
But at the same time, along with the parallel work of dentists, this piece is, as a tooth, an element which is not only responds to the place where it is located but the program must contain, so as not to claim a greater scope that the single representation of that which contains: 8 boxes with separate waiting rooms, common x-ray rooms, a small laboratory and a hall, located on two levels.
Since the boxes do not need windows to the street, so to maintain some privacy for patients, the inputs of light and natural ventilation is at the level of air, generating a massive volume and preferably opaque to the city.
Besides the above, and to dramatize the idea of single piece, monolithic and objects, it takes the entire volume in a white tile, the product of a cane cutting ceramic 30 x 30 cm, which endows it with a plastic clean the building.
