The house perched on a rocky promontory facing the Pacific Ocean a 1:1 scale replica of one of the structures that make up the observatory of Jantar Mantar Astronomical in New Delhi. Observation platform, built around the pool, and a small residence, consisting of two bedrooms, a lounge and kitchen, the house opens onto the landscape. The convex section of the pool determines the movement to its outskirts, where all views are always facing outwards.
The house was built by local craftsmen, using simple technologies and materials (cast concrete, precast blocks, lime plastering, joinery and wood flooring) and seeking a dialogue with the terrain and existing vegetation in order to enhance the quality of the site as a point of panoramic vision.
The house has designed by the relationship between the art and architecture and the Gabriel Orozco observatory is the result of a creative relationship, where the architect Tatiana Bilbao, acted as support for the project.
