Farmhouse design in Cape Winelands

In the region of , South Africa, surrounded by vineyards, this farm is originally divided in a house built in 1920 and a barn from the eighteenth century.

The project of Van der Merwe Miszewski Architects was the rehabilitation of two buildings for living, dining and kitchen, adding two wings to all the bedrooms and bathrooms.

It also preserved the original trees around the barn, which is separate from the vineyards by the pool.

The important openings in the walls that make up the interior and exterior are sealed with large sliding glass and wood blinds.
